Equine Therapy

LongRun Thoroughbred Retirement Society loves hosting groups on our farm in Hillsburgh, ON. From school groups, Boys and Girls Clubs, youth groups and more.

Groups learn about thoroughbred horses, what it is like to be a high-performance athlete and how we care and retrain them when they retire from their career in racing.

Groups also learn about equine therapy (sometimes called horse therapy, or as equestrian or equine-assisted therapy), which more and more Canadians are turning to in order to assist them with a variety of medical conditions.

The CBC recently featured a documentary, Free Reins, on equine therapy.
